Plastic Blasting Media: Plasti-Grit®

· Environmentally safe, non-toxic, low-cost paint stripping, coatings removal & surface cleaning

TYPE I: POLYESTER

Applications: Electronics — light deflashing and deburring of encapsulated circuits. Stripping paint, primer and contamination from soft metals and fiberglass.

3.0 MOH Hardness; softest grade

TYPE II: UREA

Applications: Fastest plastic grit media for paint stripping aircraft, trucks, trailers, tractors, rail cars, vans, motor homes, marine vessels, cars, buses. Approved by U.S. Air Force for stripping air frames.

3.5 MOH Hardness; most commonly used grade

TYPE III: MELAMINE

Applications: Mold cleaning; very effective in stripping difficult to remove paints & primers from hard materials, metals, engine parts & turbine blades.  Replaces glass beads & other hard abrasives.

 4 MOH Hardness; most aggressive grade

TYPE V: ACRYLIC

Applications: Stripping aircraft, trucks, cars, trailers, tractors, rail cars, vans, motor homes, marine vessels, buses. Considerably “more forgiving” in hands of operator.

3.2-3.5 MOH Hardness; longest lasting grade

TYPE VI: CLEAR-CUT®

Applications: Very effective for paint stripping & blasting composites, fiberglass, Corvettes; also preserves surface profile of delicate metal parts.

 3 MOH Hardness; effective on delicate surfaces
